Grace's Journey to Safe Motherhood

Before Smile Mums Foundation came to her village, Grace had never visited a clinic during her pregnancy. Thanks to our CHWs and outreach antenatal care, she received timely care, nutritional support, and gave birth safely — her first experience in a medical facility.

"The nurse came to our home — it made me feel seen and cared for. I named my daughter 'Chisomo', meaning grace."

Gele's Mission on Two Wheels

Gele, a Community Health Worker (CHW), visits over 15 households each week by motorbike. He conducts growth monitoring, malaria testing, and educates mothers under trees, in homes, and at the Chingalire clinic.

"Every child I treat reminds me that community care works. We're not waiting — we're delivering."

Cooking Change, One Meal at a Time

In Chingalire, mothers gather twice a week to cook nutritious porridge for malnourished children using community-grown ingredients. It's more than a meal — it's empowerment.

"We no longer wait for help. We cook it with our own hands and feed hope to our children."
